Latin day

I had a day full of Latin today. A day with a test, a Harry Potter class, a Roman Coin class, and a play.

The Test

The test was like the test I always get every year as a homeschooler. I get a sheet for writing answers on, and a sheet for looking at the questions (not the answers unfortunately). I saw a whole lot of grammar (e.g. Which word is the subject in this sentence: "Marcus ad ludum ambulat"?
a. Marcus b. ludum c. ad d. ambulat), vocabulary most of all (e.g. horse is to: a. equus b. ursus c. vacca d. mus).

Harry Potter

This has nothing to do with learning about spells, magical creatures, or anything that has to do with magic. This class teaches us about the Latin in those spells, and even the names of the teachers. After that, we split up into the four houses, and we did a competition.

Roman Coins

This class is all about the roman coins! We learned the parts of the coin, and then we got roman coins to examine, and then keep! We found and translated the legend, and even looked at them via microscope.

The play

The play was about the Iliad. It was written by the actors, who were around my age.

I liked today, and even learned more Latin!
