
Well, I got my cello, and I am very excited. The other post I said that stick was a rock stop, well that's a little tool that comes with the cello, that keeps it standing up on a hard wood floor. Without it, the cello would either slip, or ruin the floor. The stick is called a tail spike. I'm using it in the picture, well, the rock stop anyway, because everybody uses the tail spike when they play the cello. Here's a concept of a cello displaying the names of the parts:

Both instruments as we all know have the back, but have you seen the bump? (Hint: It's at the bottom of the neck, right smack in the middle of the thing.)

How exciting for you. I loved learning about the Cello from your post. You did a great job. Have you heard about YoYoMa? Of course you have, he is an amazing Cellist. He even played at President Obama's Inauguration. Look him up on Youtube with your parents' permission.
